Moving It Monday

Things have been busy here and I've let things slide this week.  My weight is 146.2# and I should be really thankful it's not more!

But, back into the saddle I must go.  Why?  Even though life gets busy and finding time to exercise and eat right can be difficult, it's still so very important. This week Mamavation Monday is sponsored by FitStudio and they wanted to know:  What motivates you to get going and what keeps you going?

By the end of the week, I was craving a run.  I know I've said it a million times, but running is my therapy, my drug of choice.  It helps me battle so many things.  And, it's a heckuva lot cheaper than a therapist!!

I hope that my children are picking up on a healthy lifestyle.  No, I don't think my kids would turn down a sugar cookie.  Ever.  But, I know that they love steamed broccoli - all by it's lonesome, no cheese, no ranch.

We got a weight set last week and the first time Brad used it, they all stood around staring at him.  The example we set for our children is priceless.

So, I guess to answer their question, my sanity is primarily what drives me and keeps me going.  This benefits not only myself, but my family.  Also, the legacy I hope to leave to my children is very important to me.

I hope this week will be a lot better for me.  I'm going to do better logging the food I eat.  I hope to come back to you next week with a breathrough into the lower 140's - this plateau I'm on is getting old!!

If it works for you, then go for it! I am not a runner and probably never will be... I do fantasize about being one, but all I manage is a jog/run...wheeze...jog/run...wheeze.

Definitely take the current weight and then move on. Make a plan for next week, but just keep up your hard work. You are getting there one step at a time. Have a fabulous week!

All my wildest dreams? Woohoo! *grins* If running is your thing, then get out there and run! I love that you're setting a good example for your kiddos. Keep it up!

Haha, running is so much cheaper than a therapist and drugs.
Plateaus sucketh, but you're working hard, not gaining and setting a good example for you kidlets. WIN! :)

Love that your kids are learning by example, most often that's how it works. Keep on running (I'm the same way with walking, I can totally zone out).
